Night Eating Syndrome and Its Association with Sleep Quality and Body Mass Index Among University Students During the Covid-19

Night eating syndrome (NES) is a disordered behaviour characterized by hyperphagia at night and often accompanied sleep disturbance. This study aims to determine the prevalence of NES its association between quality body mass index (BMI) among private university students during Covid-19. A total 166 from participated in this cross-sectional study. Online self-administered questionnaires were used collect socio-demographic data, BMI, NES, quality. was assessed using Eating Diagnostic Questionnaire (NEDQ) while Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The results showed that 38.6% participants engaging with 45.2% having poor 25.9% overweight or obese There significant associations which found have poorer (r=0.306, p<0.001) higher BMI (r=0.024, p=0.763). In addition, be positively associated (r=0.161, p=0.038).
